Stratus Takes On: Retro Sunshine

Today I have for you something that sounds summery, reminiscent, and easy breezy. It also makes me think of lemonade for some reason. 🍋🧊

• As always: The order of effects is completely up to you; so experiment with the arrangement to find your tone. Your guitar/amp and set up will slightly effect the sound, but nothing crazy.

• As a starting place, you can put the effects in order of: Dynamics, Tremolo, Reverb. For knob values, refer to our settings shown in the picture above. Feel free to adjust knobs to your own taste.

• In Supernova, use the “Pre” knob to gently bring it out and enrich the pre-amp drive.

• This tremolo has a ‘60s influence while providing sways from low to high. The “Rate” of the wave is slowed here, combined with “Depth” increased for a mesmerizing sound.

• While Cassini can give huge soundscapes, we are going to narrow its range to keep things sounding light by lowering “Space” and keeping “Mix” rather low. The subtle harmonics of this effect will compliment our preset nicely.

We had the opportunity to be a featured presenter at Tech Talk and Tacos 2 in Panama City Beach. Landon presented the technological history of guitar pedals and explained how Stratus is the next step from present day guitar effects to their exciting future. Chandler performed a demo of the effects/presets to an engaged audience with many questions and interest.
