The Leveler uses a custom compression algorithm designed to smooth dynamics, lift overall volume, and preserve the natural character of your instrument. Not only is this the cleanest way to compress your dynamics, it also has a control seen nowhere else: Symmetry.

Many bass and some guitar signals are asymmetrical, meaning the waveform sits more above or below the zero line. Traditional compressors react unevenly to this, causing some notes to hit harder while others disappear in the mix. “Symmetry” fixes that.

By rebalancing the waveform around the zero line, The Leveler ensures every note compresses evenly. The result is tighter dynamics, clearer articulation, and rock solid consistency across your entire performance.

Controls:

• Input: How hard you drive the compressor

• Output: Final level after compression

• Release: How quickly gain recovers

• Symmetry: Balances asymmetrical waveforms for more consistent compression

Symmetry usage tips:

• Bass and sustained guitar: Turn Symmetry up for smooth, even levels

• Percussive playing: Back it off to preserve transient punch
